Losing Motivation
Post Body

Hey Friends! I attempted a thru hike this March and like many I left the trail in Franklin NC, due to the Covid outbreak. The plan is/was to go back in March of 2021 to complete my thru hike. Here's the thing, I'm lacking the excitement. Honestly with everything that has happened since getting home the idea of hiking next year feels trivial. When I think about going back it feels more like an obligation and somehow tainted by this years experience. I guess I am wondering if anyone else is feeling the same way? Is there something I can do to recapture the excitement I felt last spring? Did anyone have some sort of "test" for themselves to see if they were making the right call either going or canceling a thru hike?
