Trail magic

I live in Central VA and had I not moved here, had planned to get in shape enough to NOBO. But I digress…
Want to provide some trail magic at some point this hiking season. Especially since I’m just a little bit over the halfway point in VA (Waynesboro would be my access). When is the best time to do it? Give it’s earlier in the season, what would hikers enjoy? I probably could only end up doing it a day or two total.
