Post Body
Hey all,
Trying to go with more of a "megathread" approach to keep things more organized, rather than being spread across email, private TestFlight feedback, GitHub, and random threads, so if at all possible please try to report issues specific to this beta within this thread. If this goes well I'll make this flow more clear/straightforward in the app itself as well.
So yeah, if you're encountering any bugs (in particular serious ones that would prevent this build from going out to general users), please report them here, and I'll do subsequent stickies for future beta builds as well!
Build 143 Changelog
- Added a new cute tiger based app icon by Matthew Skiles to celebrate Chinese New Year and the year of the tiger!
- Some users have reported some oddities around scrolling through a subreddit/post feed and it "ending" prematurely (Apollo is like: you hit the end!) if that happens, could you please go to Settings tab > About > Logs and send me the logs, being sure to mention this issue?
- Added Sentry as a crash reporter, will help to get crash reports for things like the League of Legends game threads crashing which I'm aware of and working on fixing
- Fixed bug where the text of what you were replying to looked like you could edit it
- Added option to completely hide comments from blocked users
- Fixed bug where you couldn't select the title when in Select Text mode
- Fixed bug where the βOpen in YouTubeβ setting was missing
- Changed the Apollo Safari extension app icon to better reflect Apollo
- If you update the name of a multireddit Apollo should now properly reflect the updated name
- Fixed bug with Safari extension where when tapping "View on Reddit" the extension would jump in and cause somewhat of a redirect loop
- Fixed bug where some inline tables could be formatted a little weirdly (squished)
- Fixed bug where spoiler text in tables could be hard to read
- Fixed bug where you couldn't swipe to view wide tables if you hade full-width gesture swipes enabled
- Fixed bug where the thumbnail for a video could show behind the video
- Fixed bug where users with underscores in their names could display weirdly if mentioned in a comment where it tried to render their names as Markdown
- Fixed bug where some URLs with particular symbols in them could redirect/load weirdly
- Fixed some general Markdown formatting bugs around newlines/spaces/etc.
- Fixed some bugs around linking to things in Markdown
- Fixed bug with some Markdown superscript rendering
- Fixed bug where mint theme wouldn't respect Pure Black theme mode
- Fixed bug where some text posts couldn't be shared as an image
- Aware of some bugs around notifications, hoping to address those in the next beta build
