So just realized I have aphantasia despite being very visual person and being told since early childhood I have vivid imagination.
Post Body

I even studied art at university and did a lot of roleplay as a child. Truth is though, I had to roleplay because I couldn't "imagine" things. If I liked a show on TV and wanted to relive it, I had to roleplay or draw or even write. My writing was always very visual too, again, perhaps because I was always trying to recall or "save" images. On the bad side, I could never remember faces and would usually remember people by their hair colour, shapes or even clothing. If I'd remember them at all, as it's such a hard job. Talking about job, whenever I'm starting new job I write down people's names with short descriptions. Also struggling with remembering things in general.

Still can't believe, but it all makes so much sense. I also can't imagine other senses, like I can't imagine smells or touch or sound (although I will sometimes have a song in my head, it's not very clear though and short parts of it).

And just to make sure, if you're "normal", you meant to actually see the image? Like actual image when you close your eyes? Do you see the image better if the room is dark?
