After getting beamed out of D3 miserably off a jump-pad, I dedicated my play session yesterday to downloading apex on steam, messing about with my paddle input to make them have mnk keybindings, and learning to tap strafe on controller.
After a bit of practicing, I could now tap strafe off of a jump pad at up to a 120 degree angle and I i could strafe off of a slide jump with no problems at about a 90 degree angle
The current issue Iām having now is trying to integrate it into my play style a bit more. I find that I can integrate the movement into escapes to a decent amount of success while also having a good amount of success employing the skill offensively when leaping off a jump pad to surprise an enemy squad. My main problem is trying to apply slide jumping tap strafes into gap closing or during a gunfight.
Are there any tips or videos you all would recommend? It might be just me not getting creative enough with it.
