Ranked arenas

So I'm having a issue in ranked arenas. I've been getting 1,500 damage, winning, and only getting like, 14 to 15 points, even after winning. Is this happening to anyone else? How am I supposed to rank up when I only get 14 points a victory and end up losing 12 points when I lose? The SBMM keeps screwing me over, and I lose more than I win, so I'm getting really irritated that I'm getting shits points when I carry my team to victory.
