Hey all, I just opened the frontpage and saw multiple posts stating Legend X is the snitch. While I love thinking along and against those threads I wondered whether it isn't easier to do it the opposite way. Instead of advocating why someone is guilty and then discuss why they might not be guilty in the comments, we could discuss which legends can not be guilty, in order to filter out the candidates and work towards some sort of ranking of snitch potential. My review is as follows:

Bangalore:

One of the legends that has the highest chance of being the snitch according to some, yet also the highest chance of being too straightforward of a choice to be the snitch. Chance of being the snitch, 4/5.

Bloodhound:

One of the legends that has dodged the spotlight the most till now. If my memory serves me right, we haven't even seen any dialogue of BH yet. BH is also a legend that does not have a relationship with any legend like some others have. (My low-key theory is that BH absolutely adores a fair fight, and 7vs1 while those seven sneak around hoping to ambush the solo (Rev) is not fair at all.) Chance of being the snitch: 5/5.

Caustic:

One of the hardest in my opinion. Caustic has a lot of in game lines that seem to make him think himself like a sort of God compared to other legends, yet he also has an extremely soft side for Wattson (who doesn't tho). I think that he would think that what Loba's trying to do as immature. And he also seemed to "conveniently" exit the room once Rev entered. But the thing that makes me really doubt Caustics innocence is the prologue. In a room of all the legends Loba threw his secret right there in front of everyone. Even if it was a "known" secret by the other legends, it is taboo to talk about it. One of the earliest loading screens mentioned the following text:

But considering your banal, lackluster brand which you dare call ‘journalism’? A tenth of my intellect is giving you far too much credit. Do you have any more questions that might illuminate your ignorance? Very well.

Chance of being the snitch 5/5.

Crypto:

At the start I suspected crypto the most. Him being all hide and no show made sense to be the one that doesn't care about snitching at all, seeing his past. However if there is one legend that knows what it feels like to be betrayed, it's crypto. That's why I don't think he would betray all those idiots. Chance of being the snitch 3/5.

Gibraltar:

Our big guy hasn't had a lot of dialogue either (none I think) but Gibby always left the impression of being an honorable and lawful legend. One that, in-lore (think Tom tweeted this or said it to TheEdgeVoice), would never try to kill participants of the Apex games. I think Gibby would like to see Revenant getting what he deserves, however I'd also doubt whether Gibbo would actively help Loba seeing as she's a dishonourable thief. Chance of thinking this is immature 5/5, chance of being the snitch 1/5.

Lifeline:

Can't see why our "pacifistic" field medic would go and support a straight killing machine. I think that she dislikes Loba, but not enough to warrant her supporting Rev. Chance of being the snitch: 1/5.

Mirage:

I think mirage might be the simplest of them all. First and foremost I think that any chapter that has a protagonist exempts that protagonist from being the snitch. Otherwise, since we can read their thoughts it would have a hint to why they snitched, they would be telling themselves they did the right thing. The second being that Mirage is scared of Revenant and that in a 7vs1 you'd rather be on the side of your friends (Path and Wraith, maybe even Crypto) rather than some crazy spooky killing machine. Also think of what it would do to his public image. Chance of being the snitch 1/5.

Path:

Path doesn't get sarcasm and thus takes everything pretty literally. By telling path that the killer robot is bad and that he should not snitch on his friend, path will not do so. Also, path like mirage, is scared of Rev and has friends where his metallic heart lies. Chance of being the snitch 1/5.

Octane:

Seeing how Octane was the last protagonist it would've been hard for him to be the snitch. Especially with Wattson lying there he would've thought something that would've convicted him if being the snitch. Octane however does love action and snitching does provide a huge amount of action. However, can he do Lifeline like that? He might be dumb, but he's not retarded...right? Chance of being the snitch: 2/5.

Wattson:

Wattson never really "got/understood" people. The only exceptions being Caustic and Wraith. Wattson has always seemed way too happy to be the snitch, but what if the snitch wasn't one person. But rather multiple. What if Caustic told her how he felt about Rev, and she helped making up the letter in order to make it seem more mysterious (since she has probably been around other legends more than Dr. Caustic.) Isn't it also the perfect time for her to go down now, only to give her view on things when she wakes up in the epilogue or last chapter? I think the concept of snitching is something so human in nature that Wattson might not get how much it hurts people, or can hurt people. Hell, snitching is sometimes even the right thing to do! It would be extremely understandable of Wattson to be the snitch without realizing what impact she's having. Chance of being the snitch, 5/5.

Wraith:

I had a hard time thinking why Wraith could be the snitch, but also why she couldn't be the snitch. That was until the moment when she saw Caustic standing over Wattson. If she was the snitch, that was the perfect moment to justify her snitching, saying that Loba only ruins things and that she hoped she was gone (a la Bangalore). But she didn't, and that gives me the last rating: 2/5.
