Hi all - I've been bouncing around an idea in my head for a minute and it was about writing a pilot for a series for Apex. The premise being it goes back to the beginnings of the IMC all the way through the games. I'm looking at how to structure this and was thinking of having it happen in present time sort of before the end of Season 2 as a buildup to a championship match. Each player would have their own sort of backstory episode that leads into the first parts of their battles in the championship game, so it's starting out as a flashback that smoothly segues into the current match.
In terms of protagonists and antagonists, I wanted Caustic to be the bad guy for this season and keep it relatively linear. The twist would eventually come in the next season of this (not to be confused with current Apex seasons) where Rev is intro'd.
I'd love to hear what you all think of this and if you can provide any ideas on character arcs, who should be good / bad / neutral, and if there are any really solid resources on piecing together lore and weaving a really interconnected story. It's hard to get away from the fan service when you're trying to tell a pretty niche story like this, but there are a lot of relatable non-gamer elements behind each character that could really be touched upon.
