Never played any before, are the ps store versions ok or should I buy ps2 disk

I haven’t played any ape escape games before but on jak and daxter which I’ve played a lot the ps store version is a lot worse than the ps2 disk version, I have a ps2 so does it matter if it’s ps2 disk or ps store version? I’m from uk if that matters
