I am currently living with roommates where I only pay 700 dollars for a bedroom and a bathroom. It is a great deal however I also have 4 other roommates. Overall they’re okay but because of this there is a lack of privacy and I don’t have enough independence. I can’t do much without them being at home or I have to be courteous of others space. I currently been thinking of getting my own apartment. In SoCal I’m lookin at 1650 which does include utilities. I can afford that and after paying that and all my other expenses I would be left with 700-800 left? I also will be starting school in January so my time would be divided between work, school, and gym.. I have mixed opinions about doing this but I would like advice to help with my decision..

Edit: Thank you all for your post. I totally see how I am saving so much money but if I’m honest I get very annoyed of my roommates. I don’t know how long I can live there without going insane. I mean I will be saving money but I feel the time alone I would never get back… I think it’s time I spread my wings
