Bg multifamily reached out to me and offered me a job working in my town as a temporary certified tech. The pay ($24/hr) is right at what I made at my previous job but I’m no longer expected to be on call, I can leave for any reason and they will relocate me to a new property the next day, I don’t have to put up with office bullshit, I’m not responsible for anything past what I can do in 8 hours. No overtime and no on call ever. The complex I’m at now asked me if I’d like to work directly for them and not be a temp and I asked them “why would I”? Like forreal why would I want to go back to being a regular employee? BG has amazing health insurance coverage at a very low cost as well. Seriously I’ve never had coverage this good and it only cost like $150 a month. I seriously can’t see myself as anything in apartment maintenance other than a temp.
