Hello all,

I moved into a new luxury apartment about two months ago and it’s a brand new construction, literally just opened this January, and my upstairs neighbors are driving me mad crazy. I constantly hear stomping, cabinets slammed, and running sometimes.

Yesterday was worse of all where I heard it for consistently 12 hours straight. It was so bad I felt I was going to scream. It went from 12 PM, all the way to midnight. I’m not sure if it’s them just being loud, or if the walls are just paper thin. I know it’s a luxury apartment complex, but that generally doesn’t mean anything. The thing that’s weird is though, there’s times I don’t hear any noise from them for a week or more straight, and then all of a sudden it just happens for days straight, so I’m not sure if they frequently go on vacation or what.

I really want to confront them, but I have horrible social anxiety and I don’t want to piss the person above who has absolute control of making my life even worse. My social anxiety is terrible so I’m thinking about leaving a note on their front door and hoping for change. What do you guys think?
