This isn’t really a question or a hack, but I just need to vent. I recently moved into a 2k a month one bedroom luxury apartment and these thermostats are terrible. They tried to design a cool concept of having three different thermostats that control each vent so you can adjust temperatures individually, and in theory it sounds cool because you can individually control each areas temperature, but my god they suck.

It doesn’t work like a normal thermostat where you can set it to cool at 72, then they shut off. Once it reaches 72, the cold air stops and normal air just comes through the vents, wasting electricity. If I want to shut the air off, I have to turn the entire unit off. None of the units also tell me what the temperature is inside. Why does modern technology become less useable and more annoying to use?

Edit: also forgot to add that the bedroom AC is pretty loud and I can hear condensation sounds/cracking through the vent every few seconds
