The continuing saga but I think can be easily fixed. We just got our new Kobra 2 Max about a week ago. Put it all together, ran the setup, had it loaded with the filament, ran the shark test print.
Being it was auto-leveled, and that it should be âclose enoughâ on the Z offset, It started up, and I walked away for a few minutes.
When I came back, the nozzle was doing its best to dig away all of the material on the plate, and being so close couldnât actually print.
So I stopped it, then a day later tried again, the whole setup routine, got the extender to extrude, ran the test print - but this time benchy, and same thingâŚ
I was hoping to adjust the z offset before printing with the paper trick, but seems you can only adjust the offset while itâs printing.
It set the offset to -3.5, and I had to keep adjusting it while it was digging away until it hit -1.44.
Question is, between the probe and offset button, shouldnât it figure out a pretty reasonable beginning height?
Or is there a way to adjust the offset manually and lock it in before printing- especially pre-canned code from Anycubic?
Maybe the offset button is too low (it was preinstalled), or possibly not working correctly?
