The client in question is running 5.5.1 on Xubuntu 18.04. Here are the steps:

  1. Connect to a server. Enter the password and check the box to remember it.
  2. Disconnect. Reconnecting at this point remembers the password, even if AnyDesk is closed and reopened.
  3. Reboot the client.
  4. Backup user.conf.
  5. Open AnyDesk and try to connect. anydesk.trace reports Removing unaccepted token., and it prompts for a password.
  6. Cancel the connection, and close AnyDesk.
  7. Copy the value of ad.anynet.aush_tokens from the backup to the current user.conf.
  8. Reopen AnyDesk and try connecting again, and now it works, so the token is evidently still valid.

I have already tried clearing tokens on both client and server through the security settings.

What are my next steps for troubleshooting?
