There were some rough moments for sure. But tomorrow I am flying back home to the US after spending 12 days halfway across the world, for the first time.

I had to deal with my regular everyday anxiety, PLUS work anxiety because this was a business trip for my new job, PLUS added social anxiety because I had to meet new people everyday and network and collaborate and also socialize, PLUS international anxiety from being in a place where I can’t speak or read the language and I pretty much can’t do anything on my own.

There were ups and there were downs. There was one day where I reached my limit and had a bit of a breakdown. But I made it through.
