does edibles affect the esophageal sphincter?

I smoked we’d 8 years and quit because I’m desperate to get better. Due to extreme stress I have shortness of breath because of a tight diaphragm, that also leads to bloating 24/7. I have gerd but that is not daily I will say. Will taking edibles affect the sphicter same as smoking weed? Should I just stay away from everything with thc?
