Anxiety while drinking?

I'm not an alc, I used to drink 2-5 times a year to the point that I was drunk on those times. Now I can't anymore, because every time I drink enough to become a bit drunk, I also get really anxious. It's nice to sometimes let a little loose and get a tad drunk, but I just can't. Any tips on how to maybe overcome the anxiety while drinking? Does anyone else get really anxious while being drunk?
