Has anyone been approved to receive disability due to mental health?

I’ve been out of work since 8/22, and have both a therapist and psychiatrist willing to “support me” with whatever evidence is needed. I have both major depressive and general anxiety.

I’ve read it’s difficult and basically am trying to figure out if it’s worth the effort. I’m broke (now in debt) and don’t want to waste the limited energy I have going down a path that likely won’t pan out.

And, if I’m being honest, I’m fearful of the feelings of being told “I don’t qualify/ it’s not bad enough”…I’m tired of mental health being dismissed. I’m fortunate I was able to access resources and that I’m alive today.
