Context: Mechanical Engineer, 1st job, Elevator and escalator industry, hindi pa regular, extended 3 month probation bale July 3 tapos nya.
After the 6 month probation, cinontact ako ni HR that night saying pumunta ako sa office to talk about my employment, and un dineliver sakin ung extended probation ko.
July 3 has passed and walang tawag si HR or ano regarding the employment ko, normally I'd assume this as good news since matic na akong regular pero I got news that others when they were regularized they were contacted by HR about it so they could sign the papers of their regularization. Kaya ito ako ngayon hindi ko alam status ko, haven't asked HR about it yet. Timatiming pa ako.
Nung nagapply ako dito sabi sakin 1 yr kong babayaran yung company phone para mapasakin na sya so isa sa balak ko magwork until October 3 (Date I started to work) and then resign so I could give it to my brother.
Pero knowing my parents they would force me to resign nalang sa January next year para masarap ang 13th month pay ko sa December. And I wouldn't want that.
Eto situation ko ngayon, aaminin ko for the first 2-3 months of my job it was my fault, I was slacking off since bago palang ako sa work and I wasn't aware of what I'm supposed to do. Hindi ko alam na dapat pala sumasama ako sa technicians tuwing may troubleshooting ng elevator o kaya sa installation so ayun nganga ako and no knowledge learned during that time.
For the 4th month dun ko narealize kung ano pala dapat kong gawin, so sumama na ako that time. And the engineering supervisor sa site gave me my first lil weekly task which is weekly reporting sa PMO ng activites done, and listing down elevator parts for replacement.
So kahit sumasama ako, wala akong matutunan, I couldn't ask anything during troubleshooting since they always ignore my questions to focus deeply on the troubleshoot. Tapos hindi pa ako makasama mostly sa lahat ng calls since nagbibigay na sila sakin ng work load. They gave me office works sa site, and they expect me to learn more about elevators via troubleshooting with techs while doing office works. Pota they want me to be at two diff places at once.
9 months na ako dito. Ganun lang ginagawa ko, parts request listing, making reports (preventive safety, and incidents), and documentation lang, and yet I still lack a lot of knowledge regarding elevators and escalators.
I'm not learning anything, and I'm afraid this would affect me in the future like "So 9-12 months ka dun at wala kang natutunan?" sa mga interviews.
Idk if I should resign now or after October 3 or after December 2023.
Btw here r the benefits of my job rn: Free stay-in accommodation (5 minutes lng ung travel time from site to stay-in via walking) Free drinking water Free water Free electricity Free wifi
