FROM THE USA: Picked up this unusual metal and beveled glass mirror from the thrift for $3.99. It is extremely heavy for its size and made of metal (brass or copper?) and has an odd little knob on the back as well as a marbled backing.
I thought it was supposed to be hung vertically because of the corner details on the two corner points (the scallops and the circular design) but it has been wired to hang horizontal.
Reverse image searched it and could not find anything remotely similar.
The closest thing I found was a mirror dated to the late 1800s / turn-of-the-century arts and crafts movement on an antiques/ auction site and the frame motif is extremely similar (last photo) would love more info on this piece?
