Wife and I picked up this chandelier yesterday here in Brussels Belgium - its the size you would expect 80 cm in height and the larger bottom ring is 40cm. Its pretty heavy - guessing about 10kg - it was obviously electric once which makes me doubt the age of it and hence this post. Is it early 20th century or rather design of the sixties.
There are no marks on it that we have found, the hammered part looks hand worked because the pattern is not 100% regular. That would indicate an arts & crafts origin, on the other hand the solid brass pieces look more cold wrought. So 100 y old or just 60 y?
I took a separate picture of the pattern on the top end (where it would hang from the ceiling) as it is a bit different from the main pattern. Any information on maker, era or even what kind of glass would be on the end of the lampholder arms would be welcome.
