I had this one therapist, an older vietnamese guy. At the time, I was going through alcohol and nicotine withdrawal. Instead of helping me through my withdrawal symptoms, he labeled me as psychotic and needed medicine. And nothing I could do would encourage him to help me with my withdrawal symptoms instead. Also, I have this condition that causes me to suffer from convulsions, this therapist told me "I don't believe you. Your convulsions are made up in your mind". Then I told him "I don't understand where you're going with this". Then all of a sudden the guy goes "Well you're not a medical practitioner so you can't tell me im wrong". Up till now I don't know where that guy was trying to go or what he was trying to do there. I just stopped seeing that guy because I felt he was the worst therapist I've ever had. This guy was a therapist for the county hospital. I used to have kaiser Permanente and they never talked to me that way, they were far more respectful (one of my parents worked for the government. The benefit was that I had good Healthcare but only up to a certain age). Today, I no longer have withdrawal symptoms from alcohol and nicotine som I'm okay now.
So my question is, what should I have done with the county therapist?
