I might get banned for this but whether you’re just disaffected by psychiatry or entirely devoted to exposing its faults, you must read Theodore Kaczynski’s book Industrial Society and its Future. He spends a very large duration of the book discussing exactly what this sub is about. For a quick glance, check out the chapter Modifying Human Behavior.
