Money really is going away because of AI.
Post Body

We're on the brink of a radical transformation that could make money irrelevant, driven by AI. Here's an outline of the future changes:

The End of Human Labor: AI will advance beyond automating simple tasks to taking over complex jobs. This broad automation will drastically reduce the demand for human labor. As labor becomes increasingly unnecessary for producing goods and services, the traditional foundation for money's value – labor – will start to collapse.

The End of Natural Resource Scarcity: AI and automation will revolutionize the way we extract and process natural resources. These technologies will enable us to access and use resources with unprecedented efficiency, drastically lowering costs. When natural resources, once limited and valuable, become abundant and inexpensive, the economic bases that give money its value will begin to falter.

The End of Energy Scarcity: Advances in renewable energy, especially in solar and potential breakthroughs in fusion, will significantly reduce energy costs. As the cost of energy nears zero, it will further diminish the cost of production. In an economy where energy, a primary cost factor, is nearly free, the traditional role of money as a store of value and medium of exchange will be challenged.

Why All This Means Money Will Become Worthless: In essence, money will lose its meaning. In a future where human labor, natural resources, and energy – the traditional pillars of economic value – are abundant and nearly costless, money's role as a measure of value will become obsolete. We are heading towards a future where the scarcity that once justified money's existence will vanish.

As money disappears, so too will the social stratification it creates. Without the dividing lines drawn by financial wealth, we have the potential to move towards a society where human value isn't measured by economic status. This change could pave the way for a new era where social striation based on wealth is a concept of the past, leading us into a more equitable and unified world.

This impending shift is more than just a technological evolution; it's a fundamental alteration in the economic structures we've known. How do you envision this upcoming moneyless era and its impact on social stratification?
