Last night I got dinner with my Dad. He put on the table these small, single use plastic containers to put all sorts of salads on it He's got a dishwasher, so I simply asked what is the point in having those He replied that it was quicker to throw everything away after dinner I said that he was throwing his money away (no other arguments seem to be valid)
He replied that he didn't care, that he wouldn't sort his waste ever, and that I should go and talk to people using airplanes for short distance flights I said that he should care because it's useless waste, that the next generation will have to take care of this He replied again that he didn't give a f***, aggresively.
I don't know if I was very tired or so but I felt so desperate in the moment that I contained myself very hard to deal with this disgusting feeling, before breaking out in tears. I took my stuff and left.
Just before this my brother bawled my nephew out because he accidentally pushed his little brother. I just think it was too much violence in a very small amount of time.
How to convince people that they are doing shit ? How do you guys do to keep faith in humanity? How do you deal with this kind of "climate"/environnement anxiety?
Thanks
