man, i had this HP inkjet printer that i hacked using a youtube video. it could have its cartridges refilled forever and failed checking ink levels. it was great.
then i reinstalled windows and tried out a tool to automatically instal drivers. it downloaded the one gigabyte spyware package instead of just the separate few kilobyte driver. it forced a firmware update to the printer killing it.
absolutely insane.
i will boycot hp forever
