I thought life after antibiotics and getting rid of H-pylori would be great but itโs just as bad! Had H-pylori for about a year and was battling to get rid of it for about 5 months. Took tetracycline and metronidazole for a few days but had a serious reaction to it. Switched to amoxicillin and levoflaxin and that got rid of H-pylori. I do have minor and very tolerable reflux symptoms but not as bad as when I had H-pylori.
Life after getting rid of the bacteria and completing the antibiotics is just as bad. I am not able to run because my muscles hurt really bad if I do. I cannot exercise or do the normal things I used to be able to do. I play disc golf, soccer and hike, well, used to. Now I canโt because my elbows, wrists, shoulders, thighs, knees and ankles hurt all the times. More of a muscle ache pain and soreness.
My question is, will my body ever get back to normal? Will I be able to run again, hike, chuck some discs? Or will the result of these toxic, poison of a drug put me in a wheel chair? I am 31 years old but feel like I am getting worse.
Help!!!! :(
