Sooooo long story short. I have a boil that keeps coming back in the same place. I tried mupirocin antibiotic cream which worked initially but it came back. So I went and actually went in to see the doc today. She looked at the bump and said it wasn’t a big deal there wasn’t even anything inside of it when she felt. She prescribed Bactrim oral antibiotic. I’m super scared because i get on here and read reviews of meds I’ve never taken before. I am overly nervous about everything but I’m scared from what I read about side effects and allergies to sulfa. I use Neosporin fine and I believe I’ve taken sulfa drugs in the past. I am super afraid. Anybody else take this for a staph boil?
