The slavery analogy is that slave owners were responsible for slavery, just as slave traders were. If slave traders didn’t have slave owners willing to spend money to buy slaves, they wouldn’t capture as many people and enslave them. Similarly, people who eat severed animal bodyparts are responsible for the institution of animal agriculture, just as slave owners were responsible for the institution of slavery.
