... with a lunch invitation. We had been friends since college (in the 80s), but that all went by the wayside when Trump hit the scene in 2015 and he became a hardcore MAGA disciple. I tried at the time to talk him back from the ledge, but it became pretty obvious that he was willing to abandon everything in service to the orange shitstain.
I gave it a hard thought and almost declined. After talking to my wife, I decided that I should at least hear what he had to say.
To make a long story short, he has decided that, "... you were right about Trump being a shyster, and I want to apologize and see if we can repair our friendship." He's not quite ready to join me on the liberal wagon, but at least he's now decidedly anti-Trump.
Has anyone else in here recently experienced MAGA people having a change of heart after last week? Or is this the outlier I think it is.
Never heard of this happening.
