I downloaded Anthem after picking up my Xbox Series X and Game Pass/EA Play.

I did some quick reading and it seems there is a lot of dissatisfaction with Anthem, but as a brand new player that has played the game for some 3-4 days, I can honestly say this game is incredibly fun. I was a pretty big fan of Destiny 2, and thus far, I think Anthem is a bit more fun (maybe I just have Destiny fatigue). Movement is snappy, flying is really cool, and the worlds are beautifully built. The abilities are pretty cool too (I did the elemental/mage javelin).

My negative feedback this far is that I am still getting used to the camera work/movement (it can get super hectic sometimes), and gun play could be a bit more satisfying, I think. Missions can sometimes be super hard to follow, and I sometimes need to spend like 4-5 minutes trying to figure out where I need to go next.

But I am super excited about playing more and I get chills every time I start flying and blasting monsters with some ice explosions. It seems like a really cool game and I’m excited to join this community!
