My friends and I are looking to try this game as it seems to be a good segway from destiny which we've played a lot together. We're worried about the depth of the game though. When you watch Anthem game play videos or trailers it's hard to tell what kind of events there will be. Is there a variety of things to do? Is there a grind? Are there rewards? Or are we just spawning in and killing some aliens, rinse and repeat? I'm a huge Bioware fan but EA has a habit of hiding content and cosmetics behind paywalls. They make big beautiful games that are as deep as a puddle? How will Anthem be different?
EDIT: not sure what there is to downvote here. Let me clarify a few things I guess. This is not an EA Bad post. I'm actually advocating for the game and trying to make sure my gamer friends at least try it. Paying for cosmetics is not a big deal to most but I'm a fashion gamer. So, I sometimes use gear that looks cooler to me over gear that is better for min/max so I'd rather earn cosmetics for them juicy "I did it. My toon looks cool." feel goods. Asking if there are rewards was lazy of me. I guess I meant, what am I working towards in the in-game content?
