Over the past few months I’ve been struggling with eating properly. It started a bit after meeting my current partner so for the most part this is how he’s known me. But I opened about about how much I ate about a month ago and he told me he believes I have an ED and is very concerned about me. He also used to struggle with both bulimia and anorexia which only makes this harder on him.
His solution to my eating problem though is to constantly nag me to eat, to the point where if I don’t or I stall, we both are just getting super frustrated. Every time (which is multiple times per day) this happens, I end up close to tears and upset and he ends up angry. I do eat in the end though.
I guess my question is if this is the best way for him to go about this? I understand my actions effect him too but this doesn’t seem good for either of us. It’s seems like it’s slowing chipping away at both of our mental states.
