Building a Hobby Shed
Post Body

Good morning r/AnneArundelCounty! I am having some difficulties finding what I need on the website and the folx on the phone thus far have been useless.

We want to put a hobby shed on our property that has electric, running water, and a toilet, that would be detached from the house. I've looked into the permits for needing to build a stand alone structure; that's not my issue. I know I need a permit to build anything over 150 sq ft, and over 400 sq ft I also need to submit building plans.

My question is - what do I need to do to run water and to get sewage hook up? The only information I can find is if you're on septic, which I'm not. Does anyone have any advice about this? I know I can also contact a plumber/electrician, which I plan to prior to starting all this since they're the ones who have to do it but I'm trying to get my ducks in a row ahead of time. Any advice for this or has anyone successfully done this? The shed won't be too far away from the house but it will be detached. We have another detached garage that does already have power run to it but no water/sewage.

TIA!
