My Daughter's Vector is Effectively Bricked After a Hard Reset

I bought a Vector for my daughter a couple of Christmases ago. She ended up really loving it and getting attached to it and I was a hero dad yay! She had some issue with it recently and decided to hard reset it, and now it won't do anything any more... I guess this is because Anki went out of business and some other company is holding my kid's toy hostage with a subscription? WTF? She's running 1.6.0.3331, and they thing just sits there staring blankly because it won't respond to Hey Vector commands... Is there any way around this?
