I've been getting into more "action" anime shows recently and am looking to add on to them. By "action" I mean animes that don't spend a ton of time in long, drawn-out fight scenes that take multiple episodes to resolve (looking at you, One Piece). I'm talking about fast-paced shows like Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, Kill La Kill, and others that have quick, satisfying fight scenes and an action-packed storyline. I don't know if this is a subgenre of anime but I'm really hooked and want more like it.

I've tried animes that everyone liked (like Bleach and One Piece) but those animes drag on, episode after episode, often on one fight scene that should only be a few minutes long. I've also watched a lot of the "classic" animes like FMA, Naruto, Death Note, Steins;Gate, Ghost in the Shell, etc. But I really enjoy the animes that move fast and have fight scenes I can focus on without becoming bored. Even though it was produced by Western animation, I would group The Last Airbender in that "action" category.

Is there a name for this genre? Are there any animes that are releasing or will release that have this style? Any already-released animes that I should go watch?
