Looking for a mystery and a horror anime.

Just to be clear, Im looking for a horror anime, and a mystery anime, not necessarily one that is both, but 1 of each.
When I say mystery is kinda like naku koro ni style, except that I'd prefer it if it had adult characters and a very serious atmosphere sort of like Monster. Needs to be pretty dark.
The horror one I dont really have anything to narrow it down, just throw me your favourite.
I will take suggestions of an anime that follows both genres too.
