Post Body

I live in the San Antonio area, last week my girlfriend and I were walking in a park and found a very sick looking cat. We took him to the vet and found he was microchiped, but we're unable to contact the owner.

The vet said he's loosing his left eye and has a respiratory infection. I took him to my house out of town to keep him away from our other pet's to try to get him back on his feet, but can't keep up with giving him his meds on time without staying there which isn't possible.

I got a update from the microchip company that said his owner passed and none of the family members could take him in and they don't have any way to contact the person they rehomed him with. I think they dumped him to be honest.

Most shelters won't take him in while he is sick and I don't know if what I'm doing for him is even helping the infection. He has gained a little weight which is great because he was just skin and bones.

Any ideas on what I can do to get him some help would be greatly appreciated.
