I'm fairly new to the animal crossing world. In fact, I bought me first one off the eshop about 4-5 months ago. I'm definitely not as hard core as some of you folks, but I've been enjoying myself all the same.

This week, I managed to get my hands one one of the new 3ds xl s. I get home and immediately start the transfer process. I come back in an hour to find that my transfer got interrupted (still not sure what happened). Whatever, I just start the transfer again and two hours later I'm ready to go.

I had heard people talking about how great the 3d in on the new system so of course I had to check it out in my town, so I boot up the game. And there is no continue option. My town is gone.

So I'm a bit bummed. I'm trying to like on the bright side. Now I can pick a town layout that is more appropriate for my play style. Maybe there will be more villagers that I like in the beginning. Maybe my town will grow faster now that I have a bit more understanding of what I'm doing. But I will still miss Univille.

I'm going to pretend there was a great flood that swept away the town, with the mayor just barely escaping. I shall move on to my new town and plant a tree in the memory of those lives we lost. May they rest in peace.
