How can I get the position of a cdkDrag element as it is moving?

I have a draggable div on screen with vertical & horizontal crosshairs over it (like a target). I'm using the cdkDragEnded to grab the div position and move the crosshairs but of course this only works after the drag has ended.

Is there a way I can keep these inline with the div as it is being moved?
