Why should I use `ng update` instead of npm-check-updates?

Post Body
Iāve been using ncu to keep my packages up to date. Now that the CLI offers an āupdateā command, I thought Iād check it outābut it only appears to update angular packages? If I have some 3rd party thing, it doesnāt seem to update it.
Is there some compelling reason for me to use ng update
or should I just stick to ncu?
