Can I use the router to open slide in content?

Hi, I have a login screen which is presented to the user using an screen that slides in from the right of the page.
At the moment I am using an observable to toggle the class but this means the component inits on the main page load. Ideally I would want this to to init when the content slides out.
Is there a way to do this with the router module? This way the component would init only when used.
