At what point should I go back to the doctor?

I was really tired and fatigued and had bad stomach issues etc a few months ago and they did a test and said I was very low on b-12 and told me to take iron vitamins and b-12 supplements. I’m not sure why she said I should take both. I think she might’ve just suggested the iron supplements because I told her how my periods can get very heavy.

Lately I’ve been having more deficiency symptoms and I’m just wondering at what point I should talk to my doctor again because I assume there can be fluctuations in b-12 levels based on diet and stuff. I just don’t want to waste her time because I feel like there’s not much more she can do unless I can get an increased dosage of b-12 or start injections or something like that.

It’s a little more complicated too because I’m struggling/struggled w an eating disorder and even now what I eat and how much of it can get pretty abnormal and I know that that causes fatigue and light head ness too. I’ve been eating pretty well though, so I’m not sure if it’s just that.
