Hey there android users, I am hoping y'all might have a solution for a problem that makes me want to repeatedly slam my head into a wall.
Very often I find myself in a situation where I am just barely connected to wifi that I have access to. My phone insists on "claiming" I am connected. I almost always dont realize I am in one of these situations and try to access the internet where my browser, media player, etc. struggles to perform the most basic of tasks. I then get frustrated and turn my wifi off. This in turn leads me to then forget to turn it back on, waste data, etc.
Is there a native way (or even an app) I can tell android to only connect to WiFi if a signal is X strong? Or if it only turns on after successfully pinging some sites? Or just something?
My Google and Reddit skills have not lead me to any success.
