Hello, xda didn't help much so maybe someone here can.
I'm using a Zenfone 5 (T00F) and recently installed a CyanogenMod 13 ROM, used it for 2 ou 3 weeks, suddenly a few days ago it stopped charging while I'm using it and only charges when off but does not show anything while charging.
- Before that the OFF charging screen was already kinda buggy
- Made a clean install for the ROM
- While turned on and plugged to the charger the battery % just don't change
- I have no USB functionality either
- Nothing shows up at all when charging
- Can't turn the phone on while charging
- After I remove it from charger it takes a couple of long press clicks to turn it on, as if it was frozen
- The phone freezes sometimes, but I honestly think this is a separated problem.
- Tried different charges (including 2.1A) and different cables, didn't work edit- added
So I did some research about it using google and someone with the same problem with CM13 but a different phone solved it by taking off the battery while it was plugged to the charger. The Zenfone 5 unfortunately doesn't have a removable battery. Any ideas how I can fix it? Maybe it's a hardware problem :( ?
FINAL EDIT for whoever google this same problem: Hey, after much more research I found out a lot of people had this problem even without changing anything on the phone. Apparently when these people tried to send it for repairs they say it's a problem with the motherboard and it needs to be replaced. Someone solded something in the charging port and made it work, but poorly. Also one of the people I contacted is waiting to change just the microUSB port, I'm going to wait if he has any success, but for now will start looking for another phone as my warranty is long gone. Thanks everyone for helping.
Also it's not solved at all, but I guess there's no solution so far. So I don't know if I should flair it as solved.
