YouTube Music Key background play

I've been a subscriber of Google Play Music All Access since it came out and read that it now comes with YouTube Music Key. One of the perks of YouTube MK is background listening, but I can't find any options anywhere to enable it.
I don't even see anything about me having YouTube Music Key in the first place. Anyone have any ideas?
