Sharing Pictures to Google Maps from Android

Hello r/AndroidQuestions!

This is my first post here so bear with me while I try and get this post rolling...

I have the GalaxyS5 with KitKat 4.4.2. From everything I've read so far I should be able to take a picture whether it be a regular one or a Photosphere according to Google and I should be able to go to the "Share" option when in the picture and "Google Maps" should be an option for sharing. Google Maps does not show up as a destination where I can share my photos to.

I figured maybe it had something to do with Google so I shared it there and selected the option to share it from Google , again it wouldn't let me choose Google Maps" as a destination.

Am I missing something here? Do I have to have something enabled on my S5 for this to become an option when I choose to share?
