A while ago I posted looking for help because I wasn't getting gmail notifications. Basically I think I remember turning them off at some point but I couldn't turn them on again.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I found the solution. I'd had checked every single setting I could think of to turn on notifications. The app, phone settings.

It turns out the solution was in the task manager. In the task manager you can turn off notifications on an app specific level. I stumbled across this a few weeks after giving up again and saw the unchecked box and nearly wept with joy. That day when I started getting notifications was pure rapture.

I just wanted to share this in case others have this similar problem or if anyone from the original thread was wondering what I was doing wrong. Cheers.
