How do i disable tab grid layout

My tabs just started showing in the grid layout today. I've tried the simplify view under accessibility and it didn't change anything. I found posts about chrome://flags and disabling tab grid layout but that option doesn't exist anymore. I much prefer the simple list where i can see 13 tabs over 6 of these thumbnails.
